Jane was born in America, where she obtained her primary degrees in Fine Art, English Literature and Comparative Mythology (from Mount St Mary’s College and UCLA). She moved to Ireland to pursue her post-graduate studies (at University College, Cork) and also spent two years as a Visiting Scholar at Cambridge University. Since 2001 she has resided in France, where she continues to work as a professional calligrapher and teacher of lettering, creative illumination and fantasy art. She is the author of numerous titles on these artistic subjects, both in French and English, and also a few stories for children. “Return to Faërie” is her first major work of adult fantasy.
